UGA’s Fountain wins heptathlon, headed to Olympics

EUGENE, OR – Former Lady Bulldog Hyleas Fountain has clinched a trip back to the Olympic Games after winning the heptathlon during USA Track Trials on Saturday.

Fountain scored a season-high 6,419 points, which easily passed the Olympic “A” standard necessary to go to London, to finish in front of Sharon Day (6,343) and Chantae McMillan (6,188).  Fountain’s point total is
